Buyer's Complete Guide

Everything you need to know about buying fresh farm produce on AgroBridge Africa — from creating your account to confirming delivery.

Step-by-Step Buying Process

STEP 01

Create Your Account

  • Visit www.agrobridge.com.ng and click "Sign Up."
  • Enter your full name, email address, phone number, and choose "User / Buyer" as your account type.
  • Verify your email address by clicking the link sent to your inbox.
  • Complete your profile by adding your delivery address and preferred pickup location.
  • You are ready to start shopping!
STEP 02

Browse & Find Produce

  • Navigate to the Marketplace to browse hundreds of categories of fresh farm produce.
  • Use filters to sort by produce type, location, price range, or available Group Buys.
  • Click on any product to view detailed information including the farmer's profile, farm location, quality grade, and pricing.
  • Check "Group Buys" for significantly reduced wholesale pricing when you buy as part of a community.
  • Review the farmer's verified status, ratings, and recent farm updates before purchasing.
STEP 03

Place Your Order & Pay

  • Add your desired produce to the cart. You can add from multiple farmers in one session.
  • At checkout, confirm your delivery address or select a pickup hub.
  • Review the order summary including produce cost, delivery fee, and the AgroBridge service fee.
  • Choose your payment method: card, bank transfer, or USSD via Paystack.
  • Your payment is captured and held securely in escrow — no funds are released to the farmer until delivery is confirmed.
  • You will receive an order confirmation via email and SMS.
STEP 04

Receive Your Delivery

  • Track your order status in real-time from your Orders dashboard.
  • You will receive notifications as your order progresses: Confirmed → Processing → Ready → Shipped.
  • For home delivery, ensure someone is available to receive the order within the delivery window.
  • For pickup hub orders, collect your produce within 24 hours of the "Ready" notification.
  • Inspect your produce at the time of collection. If there are issues, do not accept the delivery and raise a dispute immediately.
STEP 05

Confirm and Protect Your Payment

  • After receiving your order, log in and navigate to Orders to confirm delivery.
  • Confirming delivery releases the escrow funds to the farmer and completes the transaction.
  • If your produce is damaged, missing, or substantially different, click "Raise a Dispute" within 48 hours — your money remains protected.
  • Provide photographic or video evidence of any issues to support your dispute.
  • Our disputes team will investigate and resolve within 5-7 business days.
STEP 06

Join Group Buys & Save More

  • Visit the Group Buys section to see active community buying opportunities.
  • Click "Join Group Buy" to participate. Your payment is held in escrow until the minimum order target is met.
  • Once the target is reached, the farmer confirms and begins preparation.
  • If the target is not met within the window, your full payment is returned within 5-7 business days.
  • Invite friends and family to join your Group Buy and unlock even better pricing.
  • Businesses, restaurants, and community groups can organise private Group Buys — contact wholesale@agrobridge.com.ng.

Buyer Tips & Best Practices

  • 1Check the farm location and delivery estimate before purchasing perishables with short shelf lives.
  • 2Always inspect produce at collection. Take photos immediately if there are any issues.
  • 3Rate your farmers after each order. Ratings help the community identify the best suppliers.
  • 4Set up order notifications in your account settings to stay informed about your order status.
  • 5For large regular orders, consider our Wholesale / B2B programme for volume pricing.
  • 6Save your preferred pickup hub in your profile to speed up future checkouts.
